The National Women's Collaborative (NWC) began as a safe space for women to convene, share ideas and experiences, access job resources and co-create opportunities. In February of 2020, we secured a beautiful office space in Washington, D.C. on L Street to meet all of the Collaborative's working and networking needs. As the pandemic worsened, D.C. began to shut down, including our building. Like so many organizations, NWC pivoted to working and meeting online.
We started a Facebook Group and in a few short months grew to an online community of over 1,000 women. These women - our collaborators - share ideas and information in the group and help each other solve problems or capitalize on opportunities. Thought leaders in our group offer their advice and services in specific areas of interest to our members. It is the ideal "give and get" exchange. Today we have 2200 members world-wide.
Since the beginning of 2021 we have been providing monthly informational seminars and networking events online. As we move out of the pandemic and toward normalcy, we plan to convene in person with regional conferences, workshops and social events.
So whether you are looking to broaden your professional horizons, share ideas, expand your network or renew your purpose, NWC is here for you.
